October 23 "International Snow Leopard Day"

Snow Leopard needs our help.

The number of such legendary leopards is steadily decreasing due to hunting and human harassment. Only a few thousand snow leopards currently live in the area from Uzbekistan to Mongolia and western China.

The United States is working hard to protect the endangered snow leopard. An action plan by the US Agency for International Development and the World Wildlife Fund-named "Conservation and Adaptation in Asia's High Mountain" Landscapes and Communities)-Protecting snow leopards in their habitat.

Twelve countries with wild snow leopards met in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in August 2017, reaffirming their commitment to protect snow leopards and their mountain homes.
